we are acceptance, the cruelty of subtext and its double

we are micro-management, afraid to trust the seams

we are armoured with conversion charts, no measure for our weight

we are density at its finest, the space in which your skin is felt

we are lucid, seeing others for what they are

we are commingling sentimentality, reorganizing memorabilia

we are the nostalgia of your junk drawer

we are throat tremors, vibration of words unspoken

we are false accusations, neither folds nor faults

we are growing apart together, a vanishing point

we are the full moon, an excuse for self-aggrandizement

we are the liaison between periphery and core

we are withholding information, you’ll never know our inner workings

we are manipulative, a thick smog against your will

we are the truth of the matter, independent of your side of the story

we are sold out, eligible for foreign emotional investment

we are starting to show, you guessed it

we are intersubjective, you in mirror image
