Welcome
Welcome to The Blasted Tree Art Collective and Publishing Company, a small press promoting exceptional experimental writing and visual poetry by Canadian and international authors and artists. We publish innovative poetry in both print and digital formats with a special focus on unique practices and perspectives. Our mission is to cultivate and celebrate ground-breaking poetics and visual culture in all of its various forms. Much of our content is available online, and we encourage you to browse our selection of print media in the online store.
The Blasted Tree has recently added full-length books to our print media offerings. These can be ordered from our online store or through a handful of indie booksellers in Canada. Check out the ever-growing list of print publications past, present, and forthcoming.

About
Founded by Kyle Flemmer in 2014 with the modest aim of publishing work by fellow creative writing students, The Blasted Tree has grown to represent well over 100 authors and artists, releasing work across many genres and in a variety of formats over its first decade of operation. Now, The Blasted Tree is dedicated to advancing visual and experimental poetics both locally and abroad, serving the poetry community through a variety of initiatives, including publishing, knowledge sharing, and community outreach activities. The Blasted Tree is independently-operated and supported by an Editorial Collective including some of Canada’s foremost visual and experimental poets. Together, we aim to challenge, inspire, entertain, and educate. We believe in the magic of collaboration, free access to meaningful digital content, and the long-standing tradition of quality print publication.
